Prison Fellowship

Prison Fellowship is a nation-wide organization. “Through an amazing awakening to new hope and life purpose, those who once broke the law are transformed and mobilized to serve their neighbors, and the cycle of crime is replaced by a cycle of renewal.”
Each year after performing The Singing Christmas Tree in Portland Oregon, the Prison Fellowship Choir would put on their Christmas sweaters, one more time, and come to the prison. They sang all the holiday favorites. The most heartbreaking song was I’ll be Home for Christmas, You can plan on me…Our hearts broke open. One woman said weeping, “No one in my family could ever plan on me.” We were pierced with the tender memories of Christmas with our friends and family.
